Sealed Bids: Sealed bids for the construction of the West End Street-scape – Phase I will be received until April 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the City of White Sulphur Springs, 34 West Main Street, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to the bidders. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of West Virginia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless it contains the Contractor’s license number. See instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements.
Work to be done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the project titled West End Streetscape – Phase I as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 823 if of downtown sidewalk, including but not limited to demolition of existing sidewalk and curbing, the installation of new brick pavers, new sidewalk, and new decorative street lighting, and all other necessary apperturnances necessary to complete the streetscape project. The work will be awarded in one (1) contract.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the City Hall of White Sulphur Springs, WV on March 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the contract, will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department’s most current circular 570 listing.
The owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and re-advertise.
