INVITATION TO BID The owner of Big Four Drug Store building is requesting bids for window restoration and woodwork repairs to their historic property in Hinton, WV. The project includes: 1. The repair / restoration of 18 – 36″ x 80″ double hung windows on alley-side of the building, 2. The repair / restoration of 2 – 4 foot x 7 foot metal windows on ground floor, alley side. 3. The repair / restoration of 1 – 36″ x 45″ double hung window on ground floor, alley side. Add Alternate: The repair / restoration of 34 windows on east-facing side of building, including installation of 4 new frames and sashes. The project completion date is no later than May 31, 2017 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. The bid package is available by calling Linda C.
