ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Lewisburg at City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, West Virginia 24901 until 2:30 p.m., September 8th, 2017.
The bid price shall include the cost for furnishing the materials, supplies, equipment, consultation, and programming necessary to complete the objectives of the work. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals that have been submitted, in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work to be done is described as: Sourcewater monitoring system that measures various water quality parameters and sends data in real-time to end-user with alerting capabilities.
Components of the project include but are not limited to:
• Sonde: Comprehensive water quality monitoring package with
minimum six-port sonde and sensors to provide simultaneous
measurement of conductivity, temperature, depth, and pH/ORP
(Potential of Hydrogen/Oxygen Reduction Potential) and also
measure dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorophyll, and
blue-green algae.
– The sonde must be designed to withstand the harsh conditions
of field use by using rugged materials, such as Titanium, laser-
welded probe housings to resist leaks; wet-mateable connectors
that resist corrosion; impact-resistant and chemical-resistant
reinforced housing; and sapphire glass on optical sensor
windows.
– The sonde shall be capable of measuring chlorophyll and
blue-green algae with a Total Algae Sensor, a dual-channel
fluorescence sensor which measures both chlorophyll a and
blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) in a single probe.
• Optional sonde compatible sensor for oil in water, hydrocarbons
or refined fuels.
• Compatible multi-parameter display, data logging and
calibration system with waterproof case.
• Real-time data delivery system with ability to send data to SCAD
A, a dedicated PC or to internet website.
• Software, cables, connectors, grounding units, and other
equipment to attach package to water treatment intake and
communicate data.
• Delivery, programming and limited installation of hard and soft components by December 15, 2017.
All bidding documents shall be submitted in a single envelope addressed to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left hand corner:

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the bids. Any Contractor submitting a bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates and acknowledges that he/she has a valid WV Contractor’s license, a City of Lewisburg business license and meets the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The City of Lewisburg reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
