ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE GENERAL CONTRACTORS; optional for interested subbidders and material suppliers. All bidders should attend Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Bidders shall specifically be made aware of Labor and Equal Opportunity Requirements.
All questions are due to the Architect no later than Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 12:00pm with response back to the contractors no later than Friday, April 28, 2017 by 12:00pm.
A Bid bond executed by a surety company acceptable to Monongalia County Commission in the amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder’ s entrance into a Contract, if given the award.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
Any contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. An executed WV Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit must be included with the bid proposal.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Monongalia County Commission at the following location until 10:00 am, local prevailing time, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders and Invitation to Bid:

A two envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist included in the contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 ‘Bid Proposal’ will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 ‘Bid Proposal’ will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
