NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT & PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (C.D.B.G.)
FY 2017 PROGRAM YEAR ACTION PLAN
The City of Morgantown will hold a 30-Day Public Comment Period beginning April 1, 2017 through April 30, 2017. A Public Hearing will also be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV. This hearing is intended to provide an opportunity for interested parties to comment on proposed funding under the FY 2017 Action Plan.

The City of Morgantown FY 2017 C.D.B.G. entitlement allocation is projected to be $366,375. Recaptured funding from previous fiscal years is projected to be $8,458.69. The Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority anticipates $16,366 in program income. Program Income is maintained by the Housing Authority and reallocated into the Home Rehabilitation Program. The total available funding for FY 2017 is $380,633.69. Programs funded under the 2017 C.D.B.G. Action Plan are Administration; Public Service – Bartlett House, MAYSP, and Mountaineer Boys & Girls Club; Housing – Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority; Non-Housing Community Development – City of Morgantown; Rehabilitation – BOPARC and In Touch and Concerned.
