The Taylor County Deputy Sheriff’s Civil Service Commission will be conducting a Civil Service Examination for the Taylor County Sheriffs Department in the near future, date yet to be set, in the Council Chamber of the Grafton Municipal Building, 1 West Main Street, Grafton, WV.

All persons desiring to take the Civil Service Examination to qualify for appointment to the Taylor County Sheriffs Department may secure an application from the Taylor County Sheriffs Office between May 16, 2017 through May 31, 2017, during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Applications may also be requested via email at [email protected]. Completed and signed applications should be returned to Taylor County Deputy Sheriffs Civil Service Commission, P.O. Box 484, Grafton, WV 26354, or to [email protected] no later than June 1, 2017.

AGE: Applicant shall not be less than 18 or more than 45 years of age
unless said applicant has been a Deputy Sheriff in Taylor County West
Virginia during the past two years

EDUCATION: Applicant must have a High School education or a GED.

SALARY: The Minimum starting salary is $27,500.00 for entry level
non-certified officer.

All applicants must pass an agility test and Pre-Employment drug test(s)

Background checks will be conducted on all applicants.
