The Town of Star City is accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer. There will a physical agility and a written examination scheduled once the application process has been completed.
The applications may be picked up at the Town of Star City Municipal Building Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. The applicant must be at least eighteen years of age and no older that forty years of age, free of any restrictions from carrying a firearm, possess a valid driver’ s license and must possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Prior to competing in the physical agility testing, the candidate must have a medical clearance from a practicing physician licensed in the state of West Virginia.
All applicants will be notified of the dates and times of the physical agility and written examinations. All applications must be submitted accompanying the physician’ s medical release for physical agility testing on or before September 1, 2017. There is a $25.00 processing fee due upon submission of application.
