NOTICE

 

Notice is hereby given that the above-styled matter has been filed in the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia, pursuant to the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act (West Virginia Code 60A-7-701, et. seq.). Any person or corporation having a claim to the hereinafter described property shall, on or before the 17th day of April, 2018 file, in writing, their claim to said property with the Clerk of said Court, which said claim must clearly state the identity of the claimant and an address where legal process can be served upon such person or corporation. A copy of said claim shall be delivered to Patrick O. Lefebure, Prosecuting Attorney, Counsel for Petitioners, at the Office of the Wood County Prosecuting Attorney, Judge Donald Black Annex, 317 Market Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101.

Pursuant to West Virginia Code 60A-7-705 (c)(1-6), the following information is given: (1) the property seized which is the subject of the petition filed is $50,664.00 IN UNITED STATES CURRENCY and GLOCK G19 HANDGUN SERIAL NUMBER FLP854, $944.88 HUNTINGTON BANK CHECKING ACCOUT #02190237257, and $1,909.38 HUNTINGTON BANK SAVINGS ACCOUNT #04190157102; (2) the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force is responsible for the seizure; (3) the property was seized on December 7, 2017 at 600 30th Street, Parkersburg, Wood County West Virginia and December 8, 2017 at Hungtington Bank, 429 Maret Street, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia; (4) the only owners of the property subject to forfeiture known to Petitioners is Carrie Priest, whose address is 600 30th Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia (5) the person having possession of the seized property at the time of the seizure was Carrie Priest and/or Hungtington Bank; and (6) a request to the above named Court to enter an Order directing ownership of said property in the State and the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force will be made.
