236 (Panther Den) Salvage Harvest Project

On July 24, 2017 District Ranger Richard Raione decided to commercially harvest 240 acres of trees damaged by a wind event on June 23, 2016, conduct ancillary activities associated with the harvesting, and construct 0.25 miles of temporary road in the Panther Den area. The associated environmental documents are available upon request from the Gauley Ranger District, 932 North Fork Cherry Road, Richwood, West Virginia 26261 or the Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241. Because no comments were received for this project, this decision is not subject to objection pursuant to 36 CFR § 218.4.
