Candidate Filing
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Capon Bridge Municipal Election will be held on June 14, 2016, at which time a Recorder and Two (2) Council Persons will be elected to serve a four year term beginning July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020.
Pursuant to Chapter 3 of the West Virginia State Code, all candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age, a resident of the Municipality of Capon Bridge for a period of at least six months prior to the filing and not be under any conviction of a felony or other disqualification.
Candidates may file a certificate of announcement by January 31, 2016.
Certificate of Announcement and a $5 filing fee must be received in the Town of Capon Bridge Municipal Office, 259 Whitacre Loop, or postmarked to P.O. Box 183, Capon Bridge, WV 26711 by the U.S. Post Office by 12 Midnight, January 31, 2016.
The municipal office will be open on 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday for filing purposes.
