PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED
ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Council of the City of Fairmont at its regular meeting held April 26, 2016 introduced and publicly read in its entirety for the first time the following City Ordinances:
•An Ordinance Amending And Supplementing The Provisions Of Part One-Administrative Code, Chapter Seven-Boards, Commissions And Authorities, Article 171 Parking Authority, Section .08 Rates, Thereof, To Increase Certain Rates For Parking: And To Provide For An Expansion Of The Pre-Paid Parking Pass Program For Eligible Residents.
•An Ordinance Of The Council For The City Of Fairmont Amending And Supplementing Section 2 Of Ordinance No. 567, As Amended By Ordinance Nos. 1155 And 1410, And Ordinance No. 1536, Which Has Been Codified As Part 3 Traffic Code, Chapter 7 Parking, Article 363 Parking Meters, Section 363.07 “Notice Of Parking Violation; Duty To Report And Pay Fine; Penalty,” Of The Fairmont City Code, To Provide For An Increase In The Fines Assessed Thereunder.
Copies of the proposed Ordinances are available in the office of the City Clerk, Room 312, 200 Jackson Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
The Public Hearing on the proposed items will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 500 Quincy Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard and Council shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
