NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
West Virginia University will hold a public hearing regarding its intent to ratify that certain lease, dated the 9th day of November 2013, granted by the West Virginia University Foundation, Inc., Lessor, on a tract of 169.49 acres located on/beneath Tax Map 36 parcel 21, in Mannington District, Marion County, West Virginia to American Shale Development, LLC, P.O. Box 393, St. Marys, West Virginia 26170 (50{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) and Republic Energy Ventures, LLC, 4925 Greenville Avenue, Suite 1050, Dallas, Texas, 75206 (50{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}), Lessee. The premises subject to the aforementioned lease are bounded substantially as follows:
On the North by: Map 36 p/o 21 Consolidation Coal Company
On the East by: Map 32 Parcel 12 James K. & Rose K. Haugh
On the South by: Map 36 Parcel 20 Consolidation Coal Company
On the West by: Map 36 p/o 21 Consolidation Coal Company
Being described in those certain surface deeds recorded in Deed Book 181, Page 252; Deed Book 181, Page 254; and Deed Book 181, Page 260, in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Marion County, West Virginia, and being the same property interest and estate that was devised by that certain document of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Will Book 58, Page 808, and Will Book 139, Page 282.
The public hearing that may be continued or adjourned, and at which persons may appear and present their views about this lease, will be conducted on July 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at the Law Office of Eric K. Wildman, 301 Adams Street, Suite 802, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Further, additional information regarding this issue, including terms of the lease, may be obtained at the public hearing or viewed by appointment at West Virginia University, General Counsel’s Office, 105 Stewart Hall, Morgantown, West Virginia.
