NOTICE TO
ARCHITECTURAL &
ENGINEERING FIRMS
Pursuant to West Virginia Code 5G (Procurement of Architect – Engineering Services), the Marshall County Commission is seeking Expressions of Interest from Architectural & Engineering firms for professional services related to:
* Design of a Veterans Plaza on the courthouse grounds
* Renovation and addition to animal shelter

Veterans Plaza
The Marshall County Commission has determined the need for an area in the courthouse yard to fully honor those residents who have lost their lives while serving our Country. The designated area is the corner of 6th Street and Tomlinson Avenue. The project will include a redesign/renovation of the fountain.

Renovation & Addition to Animal Shelter
The renovations will include but are not limited to:
* Two (2) quarantine shelters
* Visitation room on the back of building

Firms are invited to submit four (4) copies of their Expression of Interest, including detailed qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, related prior experience, and professional references, no later than Tuesday, January 3, 2017 by 9:00am to the Office of the Marshall County Clerk, PO Box 459, Moundsville WV 26041 or deliver to the Office of the Marshall County Clerk, 600 Seventh St., Moundsville WV 26041. All proposals need to be clearly marked on the outside:

The goal of the competitive process is to objectively select the firm who will privide the highest quality of service. Accordingly, technical expertise and related past experience will be weighed heavily. A selection team, which may include members of the Marshall County Commission, will evaluate firm qualifications and may conduct discussion and or/or interviews with at least three of the professional firms submitting these statements deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the service required, rank such firms in order of preference and submit to the Marshall County Commission for approval.

The Marshall County Commission will afford full opportunity to women and minority owned business enterprises to submit a show of interest and response to this request and will not discriminate against any interested individual or firm on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin in award of the contract.
