NOTICE VILLAGE OF VALLEY GROVE
Notice is hereby given that the Village of Valley Grove, a municipal corporation, will hold a hearing before the final vote on a proposed ordinance, the principal object of which is the increase of water rates for customers of the water supply system operated by the Village of Valley Grove. The title of such ordinance is “An Ordinance Establishing Rates, Fees, and Charges for Water Service Furnished by the Village of Valley Grove to Its Customers.” The rates being proposed include the following:
SERVICE CHARGES
5/8″ and 3/4″ meters $4.52 per month
1″ meter $9.06 per month
1 – 1/2″ meter $18.06 per month
2″ meter $36.15 per month
3″ meter $75.30 per month
RATE – OUTPUT CHARGE (In addition to service charge)
First 5,000 gallons $10.67 per thousand gallons
used per month
Next 5,000 gallons $10.45 per thousand gallons
used per month
Next 90,000 gallons $10.25 per thousand gallons
used per month
All over 1000,000 gallons $10.09 per thousand gallons
used per month
MINIMUM CHARGE (Based on 3,500 Gallons)
$37.35 Output plus Service Charge
LEAK ADJUSTMENT
$7.15 per 1,000 gallons to be used when the bill reflects unusual water comsumption which can be attributed to eligible leakage on the customer’s side of meter. This rate shall be applied to all such consumption above the customer’s historical average usage.
The final vote on adoption of said proposed ordinance shall be held in the council chambers at Valley Grove Municipal Building, 8566 National Road, Valley Grove, West Virginia on December 15, 2016, at six o’clock (6:00) p.m. Interested parties may appear and be heard at such time with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Valley Grove Municipal Building.
