ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Randolph County Board of Education (RCBOE) will receive bids for Renovations to Harman School Phase 3, located at U.S. 33, Harman, West Virginia, 26270, until October 19, 2016; 1:30 p.m. local time at Randolph County Board of Education, 40 11th St., Elkins, West Virginia 26241 at which time all bids will be opened and read aloud.

Digital copies of the contract documents, project plans, specifications, and other bidding information shall be available for free download after September 21, 2016 at http://www.msesarchitects.com/contractors. For questions, please call MSES Architects at 304-366-9700. Hard copies of the documents may be purchased from Clarksburg Blue-Print Company, 302 Duff Ave., Clarksburg, WV; phone: 304-623-5702 after September 21, 2016. Only complete sets of documents will be available. No partial sets or individual drawings can be purchased.

Any questions regarding the bid shall be submitted in writing to Pam Wean of MSES Architects, Inc. at [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on October 12, 2016 local time. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

Bids will be received for the following Work:

¯ Demolition and replacement of ceilings, lights and fixtures in portion of school.
¯ Demolition and replacement of fire alarm devices and cabling and add fire alarm devices and cabling where required.
¯ Repair of damaged roof joists.

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for all Bidders will be held on October 4, 2016; 10:00 a.m. local time, at Harman School. Any contractor wishing to submit a bid must attend the prebid meeting for their bid to be considered.

TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES
Contractor shall begin the Work as stated in the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Base Bid Work and reach Substantial Completion on or before 90 Calendar days.

Work is subject to liquidated damages as stated in Project Documents.

BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuant to Chapter 21-Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State, the Contractor’s W.V. License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction Bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements.

Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
