INVITATION FOR BID
2019 STREET PAVING PROJECT
The Town of Bluefield, Virginia will be accepting sealed bids for paving of various streets at the Office of Town Manager, Town Hall, at 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia 24605 on or before 9:00 a.m. local time, on August 1, 2019. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on July 18th at 9:00 a.m. at Town Hall, 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia. The contract documents will be available at Town Hall office and during pre-bid meeting.
MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order Number 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders Number 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 9:00 a.m. on August 1, 2019. All bids received after 9:00 a.m. local time on August 1, 2019 will not be accepted.
Bids may be mailed to and clearly marked: Town of Bluefield, Attn: 2019 Street Paving Various Streets, P.O. Box 1026, Bluefield, Virginia 24605. Faxed bids will not be accepted.
