CURRENT HYDRO PROJECT 19 LLC
Current Hydro Project 19 LLC (CHP19) will host a Joint Agency and Public Meeting on March 24, 2022, to discuss the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing of the New Cumberland Hydroelectric Project P-15045 (Project). The Project is a new 20-megawatt hydroelectric facility located on the Ohio River in the town of New Cumberland in Hancock County, West Virginia. The purpose of the meeting is to: 1) provide an overview of the Project, 2) discuss and answer questions on the Pre-Application Document (PAD) and Proposed Studies Document (PSP), 3) provide the opportunity for a site visit, and 4) discuss and answer questions on the Project’s potential effect on existing resources.
The site visit will start at 11:00 AM Eastern Time WV side of the Ohio River at the Crescent Brickyard lot near the USACE New Cumberland Locks and Dam, followed by an in-person meeting at 1:30 PM at the Wheeling, WV City Hall. The afternoon in-person session will be live-streamed and a recording of the meeting will be made available. The Joint Meeting is open to resource agencies, municipal and national governmental staff, Tribes, other interested organizations, and members of the public. Current Hydro LLC is the agent for CHP19.
