ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID KANAWHA COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY ST. ALBANS PUBLIC LIBRARY ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT The Kanawha County Public Library will receive sealed bids on a general contract for an Addition to replace the elevator at the St. Albans Public Library in St. Albans, West Virginia. Bids will be received by the Kanawha County Public Library, at the St. Albans Branch Library, 602 4th Street, St. Albans, WV 25177, until 2:00 pm, local time on April 12, 2022. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the St. Albans Public Library at 10:00am on March 29, 2022. Attendance is mandatory of prime bidders only. Bidding documents may be obtained from Chapman Technical Group, for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 per set. Fee includes shipping and handling. Successful bidder will be provided with (3) three sets at no charge and additional sets for the cost of printing and shipping. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the owner within 7 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a corporate surety bond in a sum equal to at least the contract sum, and the cost of such bond shall be paid by the bidder. Pursuant to WV Code 21-11-11, Bidders are hereby notified that a current and valid WV Contractor’s License Number shall accompany their bid proposal for their bid to be considered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids.
