City of Wheeling
Sealed bids for Upper Center Market Roof Replacement will be received by the City of Wheeling, at the office of the City Manager until 2:00 PM on April 21, 2022 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Information for Bidders, Plans, Specifications, Drawings, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following:
City of Wheeling Engineering Department, 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, WV, Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council, 21 Armory Drive in Wheeling, WV; Bidding Documents may be obtained only upon payment of $25.00 with the City of Wheeling for each set obtained from the Office of the City Engineer, Room 308, 1500 Chapline Street, Wheel ing, WV 26003. The deposit is non refundable. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the con tract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. T his contract is subject to the requirements of the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act, Chapter 21, Article 11 of the Code of West Virginia. Contractor must be licensed in accordance with the Act at the time of the bid.
MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE CLAUSE:
THE CONTRACTOR MUST USE HIS BEST EFFORTS TO CARRY OUT THE CITY OF WHEELING’S MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE POLICY. SPECIFICALLY, THE CONTRACTOR MUST UTILIZE TO THE GREATEST EXTENT FEASIBLE, MINORITY BUSINESS CONCERNS WHICH ARE LOCATED IN THE COUNTY, ADJACENT COUNTIES OR WITHIN THE GENERAL TRADE AREA.
Partial funds for this project are through the WV State Historic Preservation Office. All applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations apply. Note: Final payment will be made only after Approval of the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office.
Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site, 2200 Market Street, Wheeling, WV on the 13th day of April, 2022, at 2 PM.
