No.: WV0037486 Applicant: UNION PSD PO BOX 7350 CROSS LANES, WV 25356 Location: NITRO, KANAWHA COUNTY Latitude: 38:26:39 Longitude: 81:50:38 Receiving Stream: Kanawha River/l Ohio River Activity: Operate and maintain two (2) existing wastewater collection and treatment systems (1.9 million gallons per day, MGD facility at Rocky Fork and 0.9 MGD facility at 40th Street) with a combined effluent discharge of 2.8 MGD. The entire system is designed to serve customers in the Union PSD service area and its environs and discharge treated wastewater via Outlet No. 001 to the Kanawha River at Mile Point 42.2. Also, to incorporate the requirements relative to Title 33, Series 2 of the West Virginia Legislative Rules for the processing and disposal of sewage sludge generated by the wastewater plant. Sewage sludge generated and r processed at the permittee’s facility shall be disposed of at a sanitary landfill by placing the sewage sludge in the landfill cell. Also, to accept non-domestic wastewater from the Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority (SWA), Cadle Sanitary Service, and State Equipment. An antidegradation review has been conducted and Tier 1 protection is provided for the uses specified in 47 CSR 2, Section 6 for Outlet No. 001.
