NOTICE OF PROPOSAL The Lewis County Board of Education is inviting qualified individuals or firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for providing consulting forester services for the Board for the potential sale of timber on approximately 126 acres. These services will include: assessment of timber on the property; assistance in preparing an RFP for the sale of timber; assistance in preparing documents necessary to finalize the sale, including advising the Board as to any necessary insurance requirements, bonds, and payment terms; assistance with closing the sale of the timber; and supervision of timber harvesting operations, up to and including any necessary reclamation. Proposal must include the bidding individual’s or firm’s fees or costs as well. All firms submitting proposals will be considered and those firms considered most qualified will be short-listed and will be interviewed by the selection committee for further qualifications. Interested individuals or firms should submit a written proposal to Superintendent Dr. Robin Lewis, Lewis County Schools, 239 Court Avenue, Weston, WV 26452 before 3:00 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Submittals received after 3:00 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 will receive no consideration. Fax and email proposals will not be accepted. Upon review of bidder qualifications, experience, and financial terms, Lewis County Schools will select a single individual or firm to assist Lewis County Schools.
