Notice is hereby given that LEXINGTON COAL COMPANY, LLC, 1051 MAIN STREET SUITE 2, , MILTON, WV 25541 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 59.87 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O304391 to Operate a Haulroad in the N/A seams of coal.
The operation is discharging into Nancy Branch and Unnamed Tributaries of/an Left Fork of/and Big Creek, Left Fork and Unnamed Tributaries of the Kanawha River and is located 2.84 miles, northwest of Gauley Bridge, WV in Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81deg. 13′ 36″ and Latitude 38deg. 12′ 32″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
