BID PROPOSAL The CITY OF NITRO seeks proposals from qualified firms with experience in fire service consulting and delivering online and in-person fire and EMS based training programs for a term of (1) year. Also, any required contract terms from the Town such as hold harmless indemnification, subcontracting, W-9 Form, Insurance, Workers Compensation, Affirmative Action, Non-Employment Relationship). Project Scope: 1. Work closely with the Nitro Fire Department training committee to create a yearly fire service training calendar and establish needed training programs. 2. Provide didactic training to all members of the Nitro Fire Department via a learning management system (LMS) platform. The LMS must be provided by the successful bidder. The LMS platform must provide customized training content for the Nitro Fire Department. Successful bidder will provide members of the Nitro Fire Department with credentials to access the online courses. 3. Provide instructors for quarterly in-person specialty training at mutually agreed designated dates and times established in the yearly training calendar. These courses include; but are not limited to: Officer Development, Strategy & Tactics, Crew Resource Management, Conflict Resolution, EMT Refresher, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials. 4. Provide consulting services throughout the duration of this contract to align with the goals and objectives detailed in the Nitro Fire Department Five-Year Strategic Plan. 5. As requested by the City of Nitro develop Recruitment & Retention strategies for the fire department to recruit and retain both career and volunteer fire fighters. 6. As requested by the City of Nitro provide grant writing services for Federal Emergency Management Agency grant programs, Assistance to Fire Department and Staffing Adequate Fire Fighters for Emergency Response. 7. As requested by the city of Nitro provide national registry EMT recertification course to members of the Nitro Fire Department. Please submit proposals to Nitro Recorder, P.O.
