Request for Bids Sealed bids for a turn-key solution for two generator installations for the City of Hurricane will be received by the City of Hurricane, at 3255 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526, until 1:00pm local prevailing time on June 3, 2022 via mail, in person, or electronically (to [email protected]). After the opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness and cost by City Staff. The owner Reserves the right to reject any and all proposals not conforming to the specifications or deemed not to be in the best interest of the City of Hurricane. This project consists of two generator Installations for the City of Hurricane Specifications for the first will be 80KW Generator .8 power factor 2401/820volt 3Phase Delta B High leg Natural gas, 400 amp 2401/820volt 3Phase Delta B High leg service entrance rated nema 3R enclosure Automatic transfer switch, Remote annunciator, Remote emergency stop button, Steel or aluminum Weather protective enclosure with a decibel rating of 72 db(A) or less, Remote generator monitoring system, Block heater with isolation valves for maintenance, Battery charger recommended by the generator manufacturer, this will also consist of upgrading the current electric service to a 2401/820volt 3Phase Delta high leg 400 amp service, which currently has 1-2401/820 volt 1Phase-200 amp service, and 1-2401/820 volt 3 phase 225 amp Delta B high leg, this may also consist of installing new Main Breaker panel and feeding 2- Sub panels to combine the Services into one, this work will need to meet or exceed the NEC code. This installation may also consist of upgrading the current natural gas service to meet the BTU’s required by the new Generator installation to meet or exceed IFGC code.
