ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CONTRACT 106-20-02 LIBERTY STREET PUMP STATION STRUCTURAL REHABILITATION AND MANHOLE LINING SOUTH CHARLESTON SANITARY BOARD SOUTH CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA Sealed proposals for the following work will be received by the South Charleston Sanitary Board at 1 Rockcrest Drive, South Charleston, West Virginia 25309, until 11:00 a.m. local time, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work as set forth by the Advertisement, General Conditions, Specifications and r Drawings prepared by Bell Engineering. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the above conditions will be publicly opened and read aloud.The work to be bid is described as follows: CONTRACT 106-20-02 Liberty Street Pump Station Structural Rehabilitation and Manhole Lining. Rehabilitating the deteriorated concrete surfaces inside the pump station wetwell as outlined in the drawing, to include sandblasting and prepping the concrete surface, installation of tapcons and welding wire reinforcement, followed by a final layer of shotcrete and corrosive resistant admixture. The Contract includes a new concrete vault and quick connect assembly on the station’s 20-inch force main. The Contract also includes approximately 125 vertical feet of corrosive resistant manhole lining throughout the system.The issuing office for the bidding documents is Charleston Blueprint, Inc., 1203 Virginia Street East, Charleston, West Virginia 25301, telephone: 304-343-1063. In order to be considered a valid and responsible bidder, the Bidder must obtain a copy of the bidding documents from the issuing office prior to the bid opening date. The work will be completed and ready for final payment within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is awarded. Liquidated damages shall be $750.00 per day. A 2-envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder. “Bid for Contract 106-20-02, not to be opened until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, July12, 2022, Bid Documents” Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope No. 1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid opening Checklist on page BOR-1 of these Contract Documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in the Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. Bids security shall be furnished in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder agrees to promptly provide all information and perform all work in accordance with the West Virginia Jobs Act, 21-1C of the West Virginia Code; and the West Virginia Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Act, 21-1D of the West Virginia Code. The South Charleston Sanitary Board may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of this advertisement and r the Specifications and may waive any informalities or reject any and all bids. A mandatory prebid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the South Charleston Sanitary Board located at 1 Rockcrest Drive, South Charleston, West Virginia 25309.
