NITRO PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING The Planning Commission of the City of Nitro will meet on July 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm in Nitro City Council Chambers at 497 1st Avenue South, Nitro, WV 25143 to consider the petitions of the following: Larry Dawson at 418 1st Avenue, Nitro WV to close and abandon a portion of Fredrick St. between the structure formerly owned by J. D. Landers and known as Nitro Shade and Awning at 420 1st Avenue and bordered by the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. The purpose of the abandonment is to allow future improvements to the adjoining property; it is not currently part of a traffic pattern, and has drainage issues that would be address. Nitro 275 at 400 1st Avenue, Nitro, WV 25143 to close and abandon a portion of Frederick St. located behind the structure at this address and bordered by the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. The purpose is to allow development, add additional parking for future development. The Frederick St. right of way is not part of a current traffic plan. Clarence H.
