TARIFF FORM NO. 12 (TARIFF RULE 44) PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES BY THE TOWN OF PRATT NOTICE is hereby given that Town of Pratt (Sewer), a public utility, has adopted by ordinance on July 12, 2022, a tariff containing increased rates, tolls and charges for furnishing sewer service to 224 customers located in the Town of Pratt, Kanawha County, West Virginia. The proposed increased rates and charges will become effective on or about August 26, 2022, and unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission and will produce approximately $32,494 annually in additional revenue, an increase of approximately 14.84%. The new rates are as follows: first 2,000 gallons used per month: $17.57 per 1,000 gallons (this represents a 14.84 percent increase), Next 8,000 gallons used per month: $15.44 per 1,000 gallons (this represents a 14.80 percent increase), Next 15,000 gallons used per month: $14.07 per 1,000 gallons (this represents a 14.86 percent increase), All over 25,000 gallons used per month: $12.52 per 1,000 gallons (this represents a 14.86 percent increase), Minimum Charge: each customer shall pay a minimum charge of $35.14 per month, which is equal to 2,000 gallons of water. Customers with unmetered service will pay a flat rate of $73.74 per month, which is equivalent to 4,500 gallons of water usage (this represents a 14.81 percent increase). The increase shown is based on averages of all customers in the indicated class. Individual customers may receive increases that are greater or less than average. Furthermore, the requested rates and charges are only a proposal and are subject to change (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this filing.
