Notice is hereby given that WYOMING EAGLE, LLC, 520 FORSYTHE ROAD, SUITE 102, BRISTOL, VA 24202-4341 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 310.21 acres in order to Add 49.56 acres to Contour Surface Mine and Auger/Highwall Mine for a new total of 310.21 acres and to bond within 100′ or County Route 16/36 in the Pocahontas No.6, Pocahontas No. 7, Firecreek, Beckley, and all associated splits seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Still Run, Bower Branch of Still Run, Bearpen Branch of Still Run, Unnamed Tributaries of/and the Guyandotte River all of the Guyandotte River of Ohio River and is located 2.38 miles, Northwest of Itmann in Slab Fork District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81 25 36 Latitude 37 35 50.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until September 23, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until September 23, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
