Notice is hereby given that MABEN COAL LLC, ONE CARBON CENTER SUITE 501, 13905 MACCORKLE AVE SE, CHARLESTON, WV 25315 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for the surface mining of approximately 70.53 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O301811 to maintain a haulroad in the (N/A) seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed tributaries of/and Slab Fork, Cedar Creek of Right Fork of Slab Fork; Unnamed tributaries of/and Left Fork and unnamed tributaries of Allen Creek, all of Allen Creek; With all listed being of the Guyandotte River of Ohio River and is located 3.75 miles, northeast of Mullens in Slab Fork District of Raleigh and Wyoming County, Longitude 81 21′ 13″ Latitude 37 39′ 0″

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until October 2nd, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
