IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF RALEIGH COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA CIVIL ACTION NO. 22-C-255 MELVA SHREWSBURY, Plaintiff, vs. STEPHEN GAWTHROP, Defendant. ORDER OF PUBLICATION TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The purpose of this action is for adverse possession of real property situate in Prosperity, Raleigh County, West Virginia, consisting of 0.230 acre tract which is part of Lots 187 and 188 of Map 2 of the Town of Prosperity, of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 5070, at Page 5918. Plaintiff is seeking to adversely possess the above-described real property from Defendant. It appearing that the whereabouts of Stephen Gawthrop is presently unknown at this time as three attempts to serve him personally at his last known address have failed, it is ORDERED that Stephen Gawthrop or anyone claiming interest in the real property situate in Prosperity, Raleigh County, West Virginia, consisting of 0.230 acre tract which is part of Lots 187 and 188 of Map 2 of the Town of Prosperity, of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 5070, at Page 5918 do appear and serve upon Robert P. Dunlap, II, Plaintiff’s attorney, whose address is 208 Main Street, Beckley, West Virginia 25801 an answer or other defense to the civil complaint filed in this action before September 9, 2022. otherwise, judgment by default will be taken against him er at any time thereafter.
