ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MON RIVER TRAILS CONSERVANCY COLLINS FERRY CONNECTOR PROJECT Sealed bids for the COLLINS FERRY CONNECTOR – TRAIL will be received by AECOM,on behalf of the Mon River Trails Conservancy, until 2:00 PM, local time on 2022 OCTOBER 26. Absolutely NO bids will be accepted if received after the deadline. This contract is in Monongalia County, WV. All work under this contract will be completed within 60 working days from notice of award. The project scope will consist of grading, drainage and aggregate trail surfacing at the CollinsFerry Connector including ditching, culvert and inlet placement, fencing, and the placement ofcompacted aggregate courses for the trail bed for a length of 0.28 mile. There is no mandatory pre-bid meeting, however contractors are responsible to visit andbe familiar with the site prior to submitting a bid. Bidder registration is required. Responses to questions will be distributed to allinterested bidders. Proposals must be made upon the bid forms furnished in the manner designated in thespecifications, and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of thebidder and the name of the project, on the outside Each bid shall be accompanied by a BidBond or Certified Cashier’s Check payable to the Mon River Trails Conservancy for five percent(5%) of the total bid. Bid shall also include a copy of current and valid West Virginia Contractor’sLicense. Bids may not be modified or withdrawn for a period of 60 days after receipt of bids withoutforfeiture of bid security; not as penalty, but as liquidated damages. Project is partially funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration’s RecreationalTrails Program, administered by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division ofHighways. Design and control of the project must be in conformance with the guidelines of theRecreational Trails Program and all applicable State and Federal Regulations. Neither theUnited States, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to thisAdvertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the AntiKickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standards Act. Minority owned and women owned businesses are strongly encouraged to submit proposals forthis contract. The Mon River Trails Conservancy reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals submitted,and to waive any or all formalities in bidding, as it may deem in its best interest.
