RENOVATION PROJECT
TO ALL BIDDERS:
The Wheeling Park Commission invites proposals to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, materials, equipment supplies, and transportation for the select renovations within the White Palace at Wheeling Park 1801 National Rd. Wheeling WV. The project scope includes renovations to add a coffee shop, renovations to a multi-purpose area and the ballroom, renovations to and adding new toilet rooms and exterior renovations to improve HC accessibility and adding a new exterior terrace. The project will be partially funded by ARPA funds and will carry prevailing wages.
Sealed bids will be received by the Wheeling Park Commission until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The bids are to be delivered either by mail to Mr. Greg Salomon, Director of Capital Projects, Wheeling Park Commission, Oglebay Resort, 465 Lodge Dr. Wheeling WV 26003 OR hand delivered to the Wilson Lodge Front Desk to the attention of Mr. Greg Salomon. The bids will be opened publicly in a meeting room to be announced later. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled at the White Palace at Wheeling Park 1801 National Rd. on Thursday October 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm. ATTENDANCE TO THE PRE-BID MEETING IS MANDTORY FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE GENERAL CONSTRACTORS; optional for interested subcontractors and material suppliers. All bidders should attend the Pre-bid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the project conditions and scope of work. A single follow up tour will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1:30 pm. no later than 12:00 pm October 21, 2022 with responses back to the contractors no later than 4:00 pm Monday October 24, 2022.
A Bid bond executed by a surety company acceptable to the Wheeling Park Commission in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into the Contract, if awarded the project.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the Bid opening.
Any Contractor submitting a Bid hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a contractor’s license and meets all qualifications required by the statutes of West Virginia and sub-division in which the work is to be performed.
The Wheeling Park Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
