Notice is hereby given that Kingston Mining, Inc., P.O. box 69, 622 Packs Branch Road, Pax, WV 25904 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 22.77 acres in order to face-up (slope and shaft) and operate an underground mine. Said disturbed area is located within 100 feet of County Route 27, and is in the Sewell seam – New River seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into unnamed tributary and Veasey Hollow of/and Packs Branch of Paint Creek of Kanawha River and is located 0.09 miles east of Pax in Plateau District of Fayette County, Longitude 81deg.15’02” Latitude 37deg.54’34”.
