Box 446, 119 Rich Creek Road, Man, WV 25635 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 811.55 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV 25601, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S501410 to area, contour, and highwall mine in the Lower Stockton, Coalburg, Lower Coalburg, Upper Dorothy, Lower Dorothy, and all splits seams of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed tributaries of/and Dingess Branch, Unnamed tributaries of/and Davy Branch, Unnamed tributaries of/and Elklick Branch, all of Buffalo Creek; Unnamed tributaries of/and Sycamore Creek, Unnamed tributaries of/and Toney Fork, All of Huff Creek; All of Guyandotte River and is located 2.0 miles, Southeast of Lorado in Triadelphia District of Logan County and Oceana District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81deg.41’15” and Latitude 37deg.46’32”.
