ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Oak Hill at City Hall, 100 Kelly Avenue, Oak Hill, West Virginia 25901, for the OAK HILL MUNICIPAL BUILDING, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., JUNE 12, 2023.
The total base bid price for the contract shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Forms of Proposal, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, and Plans and Detail Specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group.
The work to be bid upon is described as follows, but not limited to:
Selective demolition of existing bank building and construction of new Municipal Building with new ground floor entry, Council Chambers, offices, and conference rooms, including interior construction, ADA renovations, repurposing of teller counters, new electrical and HVAC, restroom renovations, and security upgrades. The project is identified as Oak Hill Municipal Building Renovations and is shown on Contract Documents prepared by Chapman Technical Group, dated May 2023.
Construction time limit is 270 calendar days.

Plans and Specifications may be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304) 727-5501, upon payment of a $200.00 non-refundable deposit. Purchase is also available at www.chaptech.com. Bidders are required to obtain at least one hard-copy set of plans and specification from Chapman Technical Group.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instruction to bidders.
All prospective Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at the Site, 101 Main Street East, Oak Hill, WV, on May 25, 2023, at 10:30 A.M., L.P.T., for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site.
All bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section § 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
