ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS To Whom It May Concern: Sealed proposals for the Rotary Park Restroom Facility and Memorial Park Improvements Project will be received by the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District (OWNER), located at 210 11th Street, Huntington, WV., 25701, until 2 pm local prevailing time on August 18, 2023, at which time and place all accepted bids will be privately opened. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Owner. A notice of award will be made public within 2 weeks of the bid opening. Bids are being solicited for all the work on the project. The Work of this Project includes the following general elements: The first project consists of a new restroom facility for the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation Districts located at Rotary Park in east Huntington, West Virginia. An existing facility will be demolished by the Owner. Site work includes placing of erosion and sediment controls, excavating, grading, removal and disposal of existing concrete pad and asphalt entry. Installation of concrete patio and asphalt road as well as utility service connections to the proposed building. The 2nd project consists of a new picnic shelter for the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District located at Memorial Park in west Huntington, West Virginia. The project site will include new sidewalk connections to the existing trail with water fountain and grill amenities serving the shelter and adjacent existing playground. All other improvements as identified in the plans and specifications A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on, July 28th, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District’s Office located at 210 11th Street, Huntington, WV., 25701. All prime bidders are required to attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. A site visit walkthrough with the OWNER will be held immediately after the mandatory pre-bid meeting for those wishing to familiarize themselves with the site. Bidders will be provided access to a drop box folder and can download bid documents in the form of PDF files at no charge. Hardcopies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing and binding and mailing however such cost or nonrefundable. Bid Documents may also be examined at the viewing depositories listed in the Bidding Documents. A certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract sum within 10 days of the contract award. All General Contractors shall include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form and be licensed in the State of WV prior to submitting a bid in accordance Chapter 21, Article 11, of the WV Code.
