Public Notice is hereby given that the Greenbrier County Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will meet and conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Commission Courtroom in the new annex of the Greenbrier County Courthouse.
PUBLIC HEARING: The BZA will hear and consider the application of Joshua Bennett/SR&S Beverage Co., LLC dba Greenbrier Valley Brewing Co. for a Special Exception to the Greenbrier County Zoning Ordinance to allow the applicant to serve alcoholic beverages not produced on site which requires a special exception by the BZA to allow such a commercial use in the Industrial District.
The appellant currently holds a license from the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage and Control Administration (ABCA) to operate a brew pub, serving beverages that are produced on site at the at the Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company, located at 1862 Industrial Park Road, Suite A, Maxwelton. The applicant desires to obtain a private manufacturers license from the ABCA to allow the applicant to serve additional alcoholic beverages including guest beers, distilled spirits, wine and cider.
The application is available for public review in the County Commission Office in the Courthouse. Anyone wishing to comment on this appeal is urged to attend the meeting or send written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, 912 Court Street N, Lewisburg, West Virginia 24901.
The subject property is located in a zone allowing Industrial uses enumerated in the Greenbrier County Zoning Ordinance, which is available on the County Website at www.greenbriercounty.net. The subject property is owned by the Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation and is further described in Deed Book 609 on Page 528 and is shown on Tax Map 9 of the Lewisburg District as Parcel 4.
