INVITATION TO BID Construction of Sovern 62 Acid Mine Drainage Passive Treatment System Improvements Project in Preston County, West Virginia Sealed bids from licensed contractors will be received by Friends of the Cheat at 1343 N Preston Hwy, Kingwood, WV 26537, until 4:00 P.M., on Monday March 18th 2024. The work will consist of converting and improving the existing treatment components, including but not limited to: removing felled trees, stirring slag and adding limestone to an existing steel slag bed, converting an existing pond to a limestone leach bed, removing sludge accumulation from existing ponds, and improving conveyance between treatment components through ditching and piping.
