FINAL PUBLIC NOTICE FOR POTENTIAL IMPACTS TO FLOODPLAIN CITY OF MONTGOMERY MONTGOMERY CITY HALL RENOVATION PROJECT FAYETTE COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA City of Montgomery intends to seek financial assistance from USDA, Rural Housing Service (RHS) Community Facilities Program for the Montgomery City Hall Renovation Project. The proposed action consists of roof replacement, upgrades to the HVAC system and restrooms, replacement of several windows, and ADA compliance to the building’s access points. This project is located in Fayette County, West Virginia. RHS has assessed the environmental impacts of this proposal and determined that the location of the Montgomery City Hall Renovation Project will convert or effect a floodplain or critical action floodplain. In accordance with Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management, the Agency is notifying the interested public of this land conversion. It has been determined that there is no practicable alternative to avoiding this conversion or effect and that there is a significant need for the proposal. The basis of this determination is no feasible alternatives for this project exist. No public comments were received during the Preliminary Public Notice to Potential Impacts to Floodplains.
