REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuant to West Virginia Code 5G-1-3, the City of Weirton is seeking Statements of Qualification (“SOQ”) for an engineering consultant to provide planning, surveying, environmental services, design, permitting, bidding, project management, construction administration and inspection services in addition to other work for road and intersection projects related to development taking place in the City. Projects may include, but are not limited to: roads, bridges, utility infrastructure, storm water improvements, and related elements that may be necessary to support the City’s projects.
Consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a statement, detailing qualifications, technical expertise, and related experience. Selected firms must be able to provide services for projects in the planning, permitting, design, bidding and construction phases. The consultant selection process will comply with the WV Code Chapter 5G.
Candidates should note that the proposed project(s) may be funded by federal, state and/or local funding agencies, and that such work must be performed in accordance with regulations issued by such agencies, as they pertain to the State of West Virginia and the City of Weirton. Additionally, the City’s efforts may require coordination with multiple private and public stakeholders.
