ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority is seeking sealed bids for concrete work at the Slack Street Recycling Center located at 600 Slack Street, Charleston, WV, with the following MINIMUM specifications: 5,088 square feet, comprised of a 96×53 pad to include a gentle slope on one side to allow for vehicle entrance. Concrete pour of 8″ thick, or greater. All concrete will be 4000 psi with broom finish, contain wire mesh and have standard expansion joints every 100 sq. ft. Pad will be poured over an existing graveled area. Minor site prep work may be required and must be included in quote. Forklifts and heavy trucks will be using the concrete pad. Completion of job must be done during warm weather months, preferably by the end of August. All permits required will be obtained by the bidder. Bids must include proof of valid insurance, applicable licenses, and worker’s compensation coverage (or a waiver from the State of West Virginia). Quotes must include the costs of all materials, labor, and transportation required for the completion of this job. All bids must be presented in a sealed envelope with “KCSWA Concrete RFQ” written on the front of the envelope. Bids will be opened for review during the Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10AM. The Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. No bids may be withdrawn for (60) days from the opening of the bids.
