ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ELK VALLEY PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT CLARIFER PAINTING PROJECT ELKVIEW, WEST VIRGINIA Sealed bids for the Elk Valley Public Service District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Clarifier Painting project will be received by the Elk Valley Public Service District, 100 Bream Drive, Elkview, West Virginia 25071, until 1:30 P.M., L.P.T., on June 4, 2024 for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Bid and Bid Schedule (Bid Form including Unit Price Basis of Bid), Technical Specifications, and Contract prepared by Potesta & Associates, Inc., and all addenda issued prior to receipt of Bids. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Rehabilitation and painting of two (2) existing clarifiers and other work items for complete rehabilitation. Construction time limit for the contract is ninety (90) consecutive calendar days to substantial completion for Base Bid work. (POTESTA), 7012 MacCorkle Avenue, SE, Charleston, West Virginia 25304, telephone number (304) 342-1400, upon payment of $50 for electronic copy or $150 for each set of hard copy documents. If paying by check, make check payable to Potesta & Associates, Inc. If paying electronically, call POTESTA at the above number and ask for the accounting department. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Information for Bidders and Form of Proposal will be furnished upon request. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Elk Valley Public Service District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the offices of the Elk Valley Public Service District, 100 Bream Drive, Elkview, West Virginia 25071, on May 21, 2024 at 10:00 A.M., L.P.T. The Elk Valley Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and r all bids. Bidders are required to have West Virginia Contractor’s license per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia code.
