NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Common Council of the City of Beckley will accept sealed bids for the following materials to be used by the Department of Public Works:
1. ASPHALT
Base 2 or Patching
Leveling 1 (Asphalt)
Wearing 1 (Asphalt)
Curb Mix (Asphalt)
Tennis Mix
** As per West Virginia Department of Highways standard specifications, we desire the price per ton for the above material. Asphalt must be supplied day or night with notification of one (1) day in advance.
2. CONCRETE
2500 PSI
3000 PSI
3500 PSI
4000 PSI
** We desire the price per yard on the above material. Concrete must be supplied day or night with one (1) day advance notification. Additional specifications for concrete may be obtained from the Board of Public Works.
3. STONE / ABRASIVES / SAND
Class 1 Base Course Crusher
Run Stone
** As per West Virginia Department of Highways standard specifications. We request price per ton delivered to job site in City of Beckley.
No. 9 Abrasives
** We desire the price per ton, request delivered and pick up prices
River Sand
** We request price per ton delivered to City stockyard
4. REINFORCEMENT RODS
Rebar – Size 3 through 8
Grade 60.
Approximately 5 to 10 tons
** We desire the price per ton delivered.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on May 14, 2024. Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud during the City of Beckley Common Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 14, 2024. Sealed bids may be hand delivered to City of Beckley (City Hall) ATTN: RECORDER-TREASURER-409 South Kanawha Street – Beckley, WV 25801 or mailed to City of Beckley – ATTN: RECORDER-TREASURER P.O. Box 2514 – Beckley, WV 25802-2514.
Any bids that arrive after the specified date and time will not be considered.
The City of Beckley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of the bid without cause.
