NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PETITION
SEEKING ORDINANCE TO CLOSE UNNAMED ALLEYWAY
Notice is hereby given that the Raleigh County Board of Education has filed a petition, with the City of Beckley Common Council seeking said body to adopt an ordinance authorizing the closing of a certain unnamed alleyway parallel to Totten Street and Thurmond Street, City of Beckley. Said unnamed alleyway junctions with Adamos Street adjacent to the new Stratton Elementary School. A public hearing on a proposed ordinance to close said alley is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the regular meeting of the City of Beckley Common Council at City Council Chambers 409, South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV 25801 at 6:30 p.m. This notice is being issued to parties who have been identified as owning property contiguous to said alley proposed to be closed. Any person having any interest in said petition is afforded the opportunity to appear at said public hearing. A copy of the petition as filed with the City of Beckley may be reviewed at City Hall of the City of Beckley 409 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or obtained from counsel for the Raleigh County Board of Education, James R. Sheatsley, 343 Prince Street, Suite B, Beckley, WV 25801.
