ADVERTISEMENT BIDS The Town of Poca (Herein after referred to as Owner) invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids to provide all Work for the following project: TOWN OF POCA STORMWATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Engineer and this Invitation to Bid. Bidders are invited to submit an offer under seal to the Owner, in care of Mayor William Jones, Town of Poca, 100 Main Street, P.O. Box 586, Poca, WV 25159 on or before 10:00 am, local time, June 21, 2024. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the above conditions will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work will be bid as follows: Limited removal of existing stormwater facilities and constructing new drainage pipes inlets and other improvements at the following locations: Poca Circle, Holley Street, Richard Drive (2 Locations), Pine Drive, Muggins Avenue, and Corey Drive The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: Randolph Engineering Co., Inc. 10401 Teays Valley Road Scott Depot, WV 25560 Town of Poca 100 Main Street Poca, WV 25159 Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Randolph Engineering Co., Inc. located at 10401 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV, upon payment of $60.00 for each set. The document fee of $60.00 is non-refundable. Documents can be mailed out for an additional fee of $10.00. (304-757-9217) The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable to the Town of Poca, Poca, West Virginia, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Other bidding requirements are outlined in the Project Manual. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 1:30 pm, June 12, 2024 at the Poca Town Hall, 100 Main Street, Poca, WV. Attendance is Mandatory. All Prime Bidders MUST attend the Pre-Bid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project locations, site conditions and other relevant information. Should any Bidder fail to attend, their Bid will be disqualified. The low responsive bidder and all subcontractors must pay the West Virginia Department of Labor minimum wage rates as established for Putnam County, pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-5-1 et.seq. Each bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids to be considered. Each bidder’s Contractor license number and bidder’s registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. LC-174707 06-01,04;2024
