ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

The City of Mannington is currently accepting sealed bids for the paving of multiple city streets. The project will be done according to WV DOH specifications for performance and material with composition requirements. The City will clean the specified streets and remove pre-emergent plants. The project will consist of two inches of compacted wearing asphalt. All tie-ins are to be milled and blended in. The contractor is to provide all necessary materials, labor and equipment. Work is not to begin before July 01, 2024 and must be completed on or before November 1, 2024. Insurance, bonding and city license will be required. For a complete list of the streets to be paved, interested contractors should contact Ted Nice at 304-365-3733. The sealed bids must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on June 17, 2024. No faxes will be accepted. The bids will be opened that evening during the regular council meeting. The City of Mannington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Mercer County Commission is accepting sealed bids for Glenwood Recreation Park lake vegetation management. Project will consist of mulching obstructive vegetation from tahe front side of the lake and around the side ending at rear tree line. The purpose of this project is to enhance recreational activities such as fishing, paddle boating, and kayaking.

Sealed bids marked “GLENWOOD LAKE-VEGETATION MANAGEMENT” will be received in the Mercer County Commission Office, 1501 West Main Street, Suite 210 in Princeton, WV 24740, until 3:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on June 14, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Withdrawal of bids shall be according to Article §5-22-2 of West Virginia State Code.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Glenwood Park on the Route 20 Parking Lot. Bid specifications will be distributed at the Pre-Bid conference.
