Notice is hereby given that SCREAMING EAGLE COAL, LLC, 1245 22 MINE ROAD, HOLDEN, WV 25625, has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 129.4 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O200893 to operate a haulroad in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Road Fork and Rocklick Fork of Leatherwood Creek of Elk River and Boardtree Branch and Peachorchard Branch of Twenty Mile Creek of Gauley River of Kanawha River and is located 4 miles, southeast of Bickmore, in Jefferson District of Nicholas County, Longitude 81° 2’ 55” and Latitude 38° 20’ 38” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
