NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to continue to manage vegetation along the Balls Gap-Mud River Road portion of its 34 kilovolt distribution system in Cabell, Lincoln and part of Putnam County, WV. Contract crews are currently working to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, cuttings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation. Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: E Mud River Road, Balls Gap Road, Trace Fork, Coon Creek, State Route 34, Harvey Creek, Little Buffalo Creek, Big Buffalo Creek, Big Buffalo Creek Right Fork, Big Buffalo Creek Left Fork, Straight Fork Road, Laurel Creek Road, Cherry Street, Stratton Farm Road, Grant Hollow, Roses Run Road, Cowhide Branch Road, Beaver Hollow Road, Lena Lane, Abby Lane, Marconi Dr., Marshall Ave., Linville Dr., Emmaus Rd., Galloway Hollow Rd., Eureka Rd., Cemetery Rd., Baker St., St. Rt. 3, Indian Valley Rd., Mary Jane Ave., Baker St., Wilkinson St., Shaw Ave., Galloway Circle, May St., Sweetland Ave., Dingess Ave., Bowman St., Mayors Lane, Blackberry Lane, Meadow Branch Rd., Trace Creek, Middle Creek, Woodall Branch Rd., Davis Trace. Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
