Notice is hereby given that CORNERSTONE MINING, LLC, 150 COURTHOUSE ROAD, SUITE 302, PRINCETON, WV 24740 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 25.07 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U301118 to reissue an active deep mine and operate a haulroad in the Pocahontas No. 6 seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Tolliver Branch of Crane Creek of Bluestone River of Kanawha River and is located 0.6 miles, northwest of McComas in Rock District of Mercer County, Longitude 81o 18’ 11” and Latitude 37o 23’ 33” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until August 25, 2024, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
