INVITATION TO BID The OWNER of 301-303 S. YORK ST. is requesting bid packages quoting a) structural, b) windows, and c) siding rehabilitation for THE ARMSTRONG ON YORK on WHEELING ISLAND, WV. The projects include a) replacement of compromised joists, floorboards and main support beams; repair, rebuild, repointing of walls b) replacement of windows c) installation of new siding. The project completion date is no later than December 31, 2024 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Contractors will be selected based upon (1) Cost, (2) Qualifications (e.g. experience with similar SHPO projects, proven ability to complete a project, etc.), (3) References, (4) Communication Skills, and (5) Familiarity with The Armstrong on York and r Wheeling Island. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
